1. Category
Cat. PRE-CATEGORY(children who have born after 1 Jan 2014)
Cat. A (Born Jan 1, 2012 – Dec 31, 2013)
Cat. B (Born Jan 1, 2010 – Dec 31, 2011)
Cat. C (Born Jan 1, 2008 – Dec 31, 2009)
Cat. D (Born Jan 1, 2006 – Dec 31, 2007)
Cat. E (Born Jan 1, 2004 – Dec 31, 2005)
Cat. F (Born Jan 1, 2002 – Dec 31, 2003)
Cat. G – Young Interpreter (Born Jan 1, 2000 – Dec 31, 2001)
Cat. H – Master Interpreter (Born Jan 1, 1987 – Dec 31 1999)

2. Program (one round – free repertoire PIANO SOLO – NO CONCERTO)
Cat. PRE-CATEGORY maximum 5 minutes

3. VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
– The video must be made without video cuts, keeping a fixed shot, with the face and the hands of the candidate clearly visible at all times; Edit 17 March: face masks due to Covid restrictions are accepted, but still the candidates must be absolutely recognizable
– Any type of editing or manipulation of audio and video is prohibited, and the disqualification of the contestant may occur.
– The program can be recorded at separate times and then assembled into a single(preferably) video, or it can be recorded entirely without cuts between one piece and another (Variations must be recorded in a single video – Sonatas and multi-part pieces should be PREFERABLY recorded in one shot. It’s possible also to submit individually parts of works – example 1st movement of a Sonata alone) – EDIT 7 Feb 2022
– All videos must be recent (2021\2022). Disqualification may occur in the case the video is found to be circulating before 2021. The participation in the related category is accordingly to the Category requirements, not to the date of the recording of the video. Current age of contestant is the criteria of participation in the category, not the date of the recording.
– The video is not necessarily supposed to be recorded in a professional studio but might be recorded also into a domestic environment.
– The candidate must upload the video to a personal Youtube channel (or to a Youtube channel of a parent or contact person) by setting the visibility on “Public” and indicating in the title:
“ORBETELLO ONLINE PIANO COMPETITION 2022” – NAME AND SURNAME
COMPETITOR – CATEGORY (Name of category). ”

** The application to Orbetello ONLINE Piano Competition DOES NOT ALLOW the application to Orbetello PRESENTIAL Piano Competition, so one candidate can NOT apply to both competition. It’s necessary to choose.
